Killer Recipe for Tex-Mex Chili Paella   Recently Updated!

With the extreme cold weather we have been having here in the states, I wanted to share this hearty recipe. I developed this easy-to-make recipe when I was single. I really enjoy Mexican & Tex-Mex foods. This formula cooks up a large batch of food that will easily serve 6-8 people. If you are just serving a few, this meal creates a bunch of leftovers which heat up well in a microwave and are just as tasty. With this recipe you will learn how to cook Tex-Mex Chili Paella a delicious southwestern treat that will bring your guests back craving for more.

·Measuring Cup

·Measuring Teaspoon

·Measuring Tablespoon

·Large Saucepan or Pot

·Large Stirring Spoon


You will need the following ingredients to make Tex-Mex Chili Paella:

•1 pound of Ground Round Beef (feel free to use ground chuck)

•1 Green Pepper

•1 Onion⇒  Use ¼ to ½ based upon taste & size

•1 Can of Whole Kernel Golden Corn⇒  15 ounces

•Ground Dry Mustard⇒  1 Teaspoon

•Chili Powder⇒  1 Tablespoon

•Tomato Juice⇒  23 ounces (½ of large can of Tomato Juice)

•Instant White Rice⇒  23 ounces

•Bag of Shredded Cheddar Cheese


•Fry the Beef, Green Pepper, & Onion

Dice the entire green pepper. Depending upon your personal preference, dice up ¼ to ½ of the onion. Add the green pepper & onion pieces into a large saucepan with the ground round beef. Fry the mixture until cooked.

•Add the Corn

Drain the liquid from the can of corn. Add only the whole kernel corn into the saucepan.

•Blend Initial Ingredients

Add the following ingredients into the pan while heating the saucepan. Please note that 23 ounces of tomato juice is exactly half the contents of a large can of tomato juice. Thoroughly blend the ingredients. Feel free to add more chili powder if you prefer a hotter spicier dish.

·Ground Dry Mustard⇒  1 Teaspoon

•Chili Powder⇒  1 Tablespoon

•Tomato Juice⇒  23 ounces (½ of large can of Tomato Juice)

•Bring the Mix to a Boil

Continue stirring the mix and bring it slowly to a boil.

•Add the White Rice

Measure 23 ounces of instant white rice using the measuring cup. Add the rice into the saucepan. With the mixture still under heat, quickly stir in the rice. Cover the saucepan and remove from heat. Allow to stand for 5 minutes.
